Join the Joint Action for Diversity & Engagement (JADE) for an afternoon of performances showcasing talent from multiple generations in the local Chinese American community. The event is an inclusive space for kids and families from all backgrounds to connect and build vibrant community.
Special guests include Zhengang Xie and Mei Hu, a husband and wife duo of Peking Opera musicians who are masters of the traditional jing hu and yue qin instruments. They performed during the 2022 Lunar New Year celebrations with the Minnesota Orchestra—on the same stage as their son, the Principal Bassoonist Fei Xi.
JADE is committed to fostering civic engagement among immigrant families and supporting their children in making positive contributions to both their communities and the greater society.
